Default what happens if there is too much pressure in your bottle??

I am asking this cause fri. when I went to the track my nitrous kit did not wanted to work or I would say purge... then I went today to the guys house that hooked it up for me and when I flipped the switch it started purging..?? I was like what the hell?? he told me he has seen this happen before and what happens is that when you have alot of pressure on your bottle the selenoid will not open?? he said the pressure increase alot times is from the hot weather...is this true.... I do have the bottle under my bed cover so it does get pretty hot in there... I dont remmeber exactly how much pressure the bottle had on fri. but I do remember the gauge was pegged out... and today it is around 800....

peged is bad. at some point the presure is too high for the noids to open(lucky for you).

with more presure than the kit is designed to run you will get more nitrous. if it is a wet kit this means you will be lean(more nitrous and the same fuel) and at a higher hp level. it will run real hard right up till it breaks lucky number 7.

you want to keep the bottle presure near the specs for the nitrous kit. for a nx kit that is 1050psi. i shoot for anyplace between 1000 and 1100. the heater does a good job of keeping it there. i have never been way over on psi unless the bottle was over filled but i suppose if it is like 150deg under there it would get too high. at that point you will want to purge it till the presure is to a safe level and if it wont purge then loosen a line and just crack the valve to let it out.
