Default timing with nitrous

looking into nitrous and i was wandering if there is some kind of kit that will retard the timing when the nitrous is armed instead of keeping it constantly retarded...if that makes any sense.

basically i dont want to lose n/a performance for the occasional shot of nitrous.

Check out a timing tuner, you can retard the timing when spraying and still have the benefit of running more when N/A. I've got one... it also functions as a window switch

I would suggest the same timing tuner as Jordan has Stew... those things work great. and since you are still looking to have plenty of n/a power this will give you the best of everything and since its a window switch, thats one less thing you'd have to buy. I will have to recommend HSW's wet EFI kit. I have it and love it.

if i do this im guna go all out with it. i also want it to be COMPLETELY HIDDEN! heres what im thinking so far.

125 shot.
timing tuner
using the switch that turns the passenger airbag on and off as the activation switch(if possible)that way nobody is like. "whats that switch for?"

mounting bottle in the center console, or under the bed.

wot switch on gas pedel so nobody notices it on the throttle body

i saw a picture of a nitrous plate that looked alot like a throttle body spacer. i need to look more into that. all this covered with some 3 piece engine covers.

the more i look into it the more expensive its getting ...not guna do this anytime soon, so i got plenty time to read and shop.

I put my switch in the covey hole where the 4x4 buttons are on z71.s

*** for wot switch, you can just tap into the TPS on my unit, HSW WET KIT AND PROGRESSIVE CONTROLLER, i love it!

You will need a electric bottle opener, nitrous pressure gauge and fuel pressure gauge along with a nitrous filter, extra pills, bottle heater, its not as cheap as you think to run it correctly. I ran the same timing N/A or spraying. Allen tuned mine for max power N/A and i sprayed a 100 shot most of the time a few 125s and one 150 and when I pulled my 5.3 not melted piston tops nothin and that was on 93 in the heat of the summer.

When my engine was stock, I sprayed a wet 150 shot and never changed the timing. I figured the knock sensor can take out 10* timing which is more than enough for nitrous. The engine never detonated with the nitrous. Unless your timing is already advanced to the ragged edge, I don't see why this wouldn't work. Contrary views welcome.
