spray into TB spacer
#1
Would it be possible to drill and tap a throttle body spacer to accept a nitrous nozzle? Does it have to enter before the throttle body? I would think that this would be a reasonable location for the nozzle because of the way a direct port nitrous system works. I am sure I m not the first one to dream it up. any reasons why it wouldnt work?

yea, you can do that.. i beleive its been done too. There are some places that sell the tb spacers already tapped for nitrous, i was just asking about it yesterday as well. Of course... doing that yourself is way more cost effective

The only bad thing about doing that is this. The front runners are vlose to the throttle body. A nozzle aims its spray pattern at the back of the intake. This is creating a possibilty of running lean in the front two cylinders do not poor attomization.
Check out our new nitrous plates for a better solution.

yeah I figured something like that was the reason too if it would not work. a plate does look like a good alternative I will have to seriously consider one of those. I dont want to drill into my CAI. I just dont like the idea of tapping into plastic even if there are threads you put in first. .... yeah yeah yeah Jordan... I guess you got the point on that one.

nitro dave that isn't entirely correct about overshooting the front two cylinders! the truck intake isn't like the ls1 intake where you have the intake opening then the runners going to each cylinder. we have a top part of the intake where there is nothing but space and then a hole in the center that goes down to the runners.
so in fact you can spray into the egr port or tb spacer. i have been spraying this way for a long time, as well as other members on this board. no ill affects of doing so.

I did not even think about that. I do not have a truck intake handy to look at right now.But Im sure that the other way will be fine then.
However that way you still a beem of nitrous, where our plate will dispurse better because of the desighn..
