Question rmp switch help

im using a trick performance rpm switch. What wires should I used for the Tach signal wire. i was told to hook up to #10 on the pcm but when i do it goes into REP mode but as soon as i cut that wire the rep mode turns off. what wire on the coil pack can i get this same signal from?

I spliced into a wire from the coil pack, ill look in the morn when i can see colors.

yeah if you can do that , that would be awesome. i was told i can tap the green wire off the main harness to the coil packs any body else confirm this?

#10 (white) on the green pcm connector is the RPM out signal. A5 on the instrument panel connector is also the same rpm out signal wire.

i tried tapping the #10 white wire but for some reason it puts the truck into REP mode. so i connected to the green with white stripe wire on the main coil harness can any body else confirm this is a good sorce?

It was the green wire with white stripe on the passenger side coil pack connector. Worked like a charm for me.
