Default Purge and activation on same switch.

This is to use the button on my shifter handle as my purge when my kit isn't armed, and as the activation when it is armed. Anyone see an issue?

You could use a 3 position toggle switch and switch the keyed +12volts to the different relays. I see what you are trying to do. Why not a window switch?

Honestly? When I was buying parts funds got short. I got the hurst shifter **** with the button for 20 bucks. And I figure if I lose traction when I'm spraying, I'll lose less ground just letting off the button. I will go to a window switch later likely.

That diagram is not right at all. Terminals 85 and 86 are for the relay coil, 87 87a and 30 are the switched contacts.

You can use the master switch to supply the activation button, purge solenoid and heater relays. I'd suggest an indivigual switch for all functions as purge should be a momentary, activation and heater will be commonly maintained switches.

Yeah I'm not an electrical genius at all. I hate it. But yeah the "activation" switch is momentary. It's a button on top of my shifter. (Truck's a 5speed)

I'm not on my home computer now, I will get you a diagram later today if you'd like.

Lame.... What kind of shifter is it? Ask them to send you a different button if possible

You may have something wired incorrectly. I'll look over it once I get home.

The above diagram isn't how it's wired, that was just an idea. It's wired right now how every other kit in the world is wired. It was a Hurst shifter. I got mad and bought a Nitrous Outlet window switch anyway after this episode. Plus that eliminates all visible switches in the cab. (My arm and heater are in the glove box)
