Default Please explain....

I have been told more than once that I should not run more than a 50-75 shot on my Tahoe. I have a Radix on it is this why? I see over and over again guys with a 5.3 like me and a 4L60E running 100, 150 and more, shots all the time with no trouble. I have a built 4L65E so I think the tranny could take a big shot once in awhile. Is it the weight of my truck? I'm only looking for a 100 shot or so. What's my limitations?

the weight of the truck has alot to do with it. and since you have a radix i prob. wouldnt go over a 50-75 shot. might want to pm blownchevy and see how much he thinks about it

And that's all I'm looking for. 75-100hp out of the shot. I just couldn't get a straight answer as to why I was limited to a 50-75 shot when others could do 100+. So is everybody saying its the weight of my Tahoe that limits me? Is it because of the tranny? I'm wanting to do a wet kit with a 100 shot. If you guys think 75 is as big as I should go, then I will take the advice. I just want to know...why?

P.S. can I do a 75 shot without additional tuning? I've heard that smaller shots can run off of any tune, it's when you go big you need additional tuning...True?

well i know on my 00 i put a 125 shot on it without any tuning but it doesnt have a blower. i think if you put a 75 shot on there you woull prob. see anywhere from 80-100hp out of it cause the cooling effect. ive also heard that you dont want to spray through a radix but i dont know? thats why i was saying pm blownchevy about it. that heavy truck puts more strain on the tranny. if you want to keep pushing it theni would get a 80e and start building it up

Look over at the GTO forums on the internet. Search Magnacharger and N2O. You'll see some guys are doing it, but I haven't seen a 100 shot. I've sprayed a small shot a couple of times myself with no ill effects.

What size did you shoot and did you feel the difference when you hit it? Your truck is heavier than mine so, I figured you'd be a good person to ask.
