Nitrous Express » Next Generation Nitrous Oxide Systems » PROTON FLY BY WIRE NITROUS SYSTEM W/ 10LB BOTTLE

Will this be what I need? If I wante to go to 175 after having this kit for a while could it do it?

What's a good start/stop rpm for the window switch?

You can save $150 by getting the Proton Plus kit ($419), which is the same thing as above, just lacking a WOT switch. Hell, you could even do a main line kit ($399). Also, no,the solenoids just aren't handling more than a 150 shot on that kit. Then again, anything over a 150 shot on that stock/remotely stock 4.3, I DOUBT is going to last long. I sprayed 125 on a 2.8L Atlas, but the tune was stupid dialed in. Don't know that I'd trust a mail-order for that.

Im going to clear the air about something. Especially the bottle heater and fuel supply.

Nitrous Kit: You can go with any brand nozzle kit. Just do research before jumping into one. (max amount able to be sprayed, ethanol compatible, We make plate system for the 4.8/5.3/6.0 motors. You can do a dry set up but requires more tuning and more parts to be run correctly.

Window Switch - You dont have to have one like state before. You can run a switch, button, or micro switch on the pedal. The window switch does the auto on off and keeps you from having to manually engage nitrous.

Tool Box mounting is cool.

Fuel: With a wet system you will not need injectors. With a dry system you will need injectors. With both you are most likely going to need a fuel pump depending on the power you are making on spray.

Timing: Rule of thumb is 2 degree per 50hp jetting. You tuner should be able to do that for you.

Bottle Heater - Torch.... No. Safety is something important to everyone. If you are at the track and a official sees you doing this. Most likely your going to be kicked out. Second do you really want to put people in jeopardy heating your bottle with a torch. Third its more discreet to have a bottle heater if you are looking to have a system that is low profile.

Purge: you dont have to have it to run a system but it does help to clear the air out of the line so that you have pure nitrous in the line.

On the window switch we usually go for 3000 activation and deactivation setabout 100-200 rpm before the red line.

Sweet thanks for the info. What would be the best way to mount a micro switch on the pedal?

Also without a wot switch, and just hitting the button what do you do for the time between shifts, won't it pool up in the intake? How would the push button actually work

If you put a wot switch under the pedal it would spray between shifts....what would be the problem with holding the button down between shifts? Just be sure not to mash it to early or hold it to long and you'll be fine that way. Thats how mine is set up.
And hmmm, Blackbear is the one that tuned my truck and when i asked him about the tow/haul thing he said he could only change the trans settings from it but maybe its changed. Hope everything works out nice, will be quick

You are correct, only transmission settings can be altered in tow/haul mode.

The tow/haul mode allows the PCM to run off of a second set of tables for most transmission functions. We do have a "performance/track" option available that remove all restrictions from the transmission programming. We can reprogram these transmission settings however you want them to be. No engine performance options are alterable from the tow/haul mode.

If I get the timing retarded 6*(2 for every 50hp) how will it run without spray. Will my normal driving and fuel mileage suffer?
