What is the difference between -4 AN and -6 AN?

What does AN mean?

Sorry...I'm new to NAAWWSSS.

-4 and -6 are the size those numbers will usually be accompanied by an NPT number such as 1/8" NPT which tells you the style thread that is on the fitting. As for the actual definition of AN I dont have a clue.
