Get a cam that runs good all motor so that on spray it runs that much better.

im sorry, but i dont think you can have the best of both worlds.
if you get one that runs like *** on motor,it will prolly run like a sum beach on the bottle.
you need more of a split duration cam.

Well i have a couple of friends running the famous 224 cam and i want to try something a little different. I want to stay with the 5.3l and im thinking of cal trac and Qa1 shocks.I already have a 3k stall but can get it loosed up b/c the truck was wrecked and completely rebuilding the truck.I just dont want to go higher then a 3800 stall b/c the truck will be a daily again.

When I spoke to TSP they recommended a 3200+ stall.
