Default need nitrous info from you guy's

okay I have a old ZZ3 crate motor, 350 old school sbc, it's been rebuilt with dart pro-1 230cc runner heads, comp roller 235/ 242 duration and with 1.6 rockers 575/590 lift. the question I have is, I got Federal-Moguls Speed-Pro® brand uses technology that produces outstanding hardness and thermal characteristics to produce hypereutectic pistons that are the ideal choice for street performance motors, oval-track “claimer” engines, bracket racing applications and moderate supercharged engines.

Manufactured with an exclusive higher-strength FM244 alloy with 16.5 percent silicon finely dispersed throughout the material, Speed-Pro hypereutectic pistons operate with standard ring-end gaps and conventional ring-land locations.

Speed-Pro piston performance is enhanced even more by Federal-Mogul’s DUROSHIELD® skirt coating, which reduces friction, improves horsepower and extends piston life. at 10.9.1 compression. and was wondering if a 150 shot plate under a 800 mighty demon would work without blowing up? any help would be great I know nothing of nitrous!

I would say if your a/f ratio was spot on you should be ok...I know the older sbc/bbc like a little less cr with n2o or FI..from what I remember..Why not start out with 100hp jets and feel it out...maybe lower the cr a little with thicker head gaskets...

The hyperutectic piston should be fine for up to a 150 shot.

That really depends. You can over power the parts. Different parts are only rated to take X amount of pressure. For example... You have have a lightweight forged NA build that uses a thin deck on the top of the piston with rods only rated to handle X amount of power. If you over power the parts they will break.

But yes in most cases its the tune up or poor choices that hurt an engine.
