Yes alot can go wrong, but thats why you take your time and do things right and spend alot of money. You have to pay to play the game. The setup you want is almost exactly the same setup that I have now as far as the drivetrain goes.

On a stock LQ4 you won't be able to run much boost and juice. A good deal of one or the other is plenty to push the limits of the motor. If you build the motor you can run lots of both.

Now if you are talking just running the juice off the line till the boost kicks in then this is more feasible on a stock motor. But still your most sensible option would be pony up the cash for the SC get it dialed in then worry about adding more power.

I run nitrous and 12lbs boost, no problem. Granted only a 75 shot but on a stock 5.3L.

Why don't you get your SC system in place and then decide?

Im not sure this is totally correct, there are MANY people out there that have pushed the 600-700rwh rating on a stock ls platform, especially the 6.0 with the lower compression including myself now. And btw, I have a 100 shot and p1sc.

ive made over 800 hp with the two . but the motor wasnt stock .

i also lifted a head while doing it . so yea you need to be careful when doing it .

i got a little carried away with boost (15 psi) , nitrous 125 shot , and a 9.25 built 370 and a bit too much timing , the timing is what caused it , i had run it previously fine .

so if you do decide to do both , make sure the tune has been done thourghouly and live . it will be the key factor .

on a stock lq4 , running about what trever1t did would be more than what i would run . but he has some freak 5.3 motor that god farted out.

I guess i am thinking of running boost and juice, with decent psi plus 100+ shot. I see a few are doing such and keeping them together. I guess it would depend on your situation and weather or not you have a back up vehicle if you blow it up. If I were going to spend all the money of turbo or SC and throw juice on it I would want the bottom end built to be confident that it will hold together without a problem.

Like said before pony up all the money boost it, see how much power she makes. Then after a wile when that seems to be slow add the juice and start kicking again. Good luck no matter what you choose.

Are you using a nozzle or a plate? Care to post any pics? I've been thinking about doing this for about a year now......
