I would recommend an LS6 intake or the FAST setup with a Nick WIlliams 90mm TB.

from what ive read there are idle control problems with the 90mm TB and for a DAILY DRIVER they offer poor throttle response
if this was a track only vehicle it would either be turbo-408 or 408-MP122HH with 100shot Direct port
I'll probably get a LS6 intake

i was planning on a TR224 cam and west coast (richard) 5.3L heads
no i dont want it to blow i want to run this motor to 150K+ miles
after looking and nitrodaves NX products im thinkin of doing a dual stage 100shot through 1st and a 150 in second and third - like litredevil
should a do a two stage or just try to get a progressive controller for a 150shot
the reason im doin nitrous is so i can have a good runnin n/a street truck and have the extra(nitrous) for when i go to the track because if i got F/I the cops would know me by name
cuz i cant seem to keep my foot out of it

tcharge-I have an eagle crank the journals were fine but the counterwieghts were scallopped pieces of ****. I agree nitrous is harder on cranks but with the size shot he is going with it would have to be on a progressive controller anyway. I believe the guys that were snapping cranks are the ones launchin gon a full shot off a t-brake which we all know plays hell on crank harmonics.
NIghtrunner, the 90mm problems are with DBW guys, there are PLENTY of 90mm cable guys with no problems. With a cable tb all you got to do is adjsut the set screw to where you get sub 30 readings on the IAC and the IAC will take care of the rest of idling issues.
As far as stages are concerned, if you are talking 20 shot totally, bye bye motor. If oyu are talking 100 out of the hole the 50 more then that should work ok. You WILL have traction issues on a 100 shot and a nice converter. I spun all 4 in 4hi with a couple of bolt ons tune, 3K stall and a 100 shot in my heavy truck. Just food for thought.
I really like the nitro dave plate kit, IMO and LS6 setup with the plate would workgreat.
Research over on tech in the nitrous and external section you will learn ALOT about what intakes work and dont along with the nitrous stuff of course. The search button is your friend, when it works

The LS6 intake will flow enough air to support over 1000rwhp.. I have personally witnessed it through a stock ported and filled throttle body. Even the stock truck intake is good for some high numbers. If you're gonna keep it a street vehicle, there really is no need to swap intakes- maybe just a ported TB..

it is not really lost it is their just with the no2 will do wounders i know a few guys that have turbos and with out the no2 the cars don't run for **** then you spray it and it gose 7.9s,it is just how you use the power.

Im going to quit arguing I have made my points and done alot of research for my setups and what you are talking about nightrunner. Like I said earlier go check the nitrous section on tech and some of the toher sections will get most of your answers there.

I would run a 150 shot with a progressive controller. I also think a cammed 5.3 would benefit from a victor jr. How much time during the 1/4 mile are the rpms gonna be below 4500 or 5000 rpms......none after you launch, so the victor jr would work great. Your head setup and cam sound fine, and just get a good fuel pump and you will be set.

That intake would pick up a nice amount of power. The truck intake is not efficient after about 5500 rpms.....yeah it doesn't fall off bad, but it doesn't make any more power. A 5.3 w/ a 224 cam will easily spin to 6500, but the truck manifold will peak early and flatline.
