Default HELP! air in nitrous line!

okay I got a problem with my nitrous kit... some how I am getting air into my nitrous line or system???

when I purge the kit I get alot of air first then nitrous starts to purge, well if I let it sit still for only a minute or so and go to purging again, I get ALOT of air again then nitrous will hit again??

can anybody explain to me what is going on?? you would think with positive pressure on the line that nitrous will leak out and that air could not get in, right?

is it maybe the silenoids?? or do yall think the bottle itself has alot of air in it?? maybe I should empty my whole bottle and re-fill it??

help me out guys...

Alot of times, if your nitrous dealer pumps the bottle dry filling up yours, you'll get some air into your bottle. Does your nitrous dealer use a pump or do they do a gravity feed?

How much do you have left in the bottle? You know, weather and humidity also effect the amount of white plume you see coming from the purge. I've had several days when I couldn't see the purge at all(on a full bottle).
If your bottle is pretty full, I wouldn't just empty it. If you crack the bottle with it out of your truck, does it spray a white plume immediately, or is there a second or two when it just makes noise?

I havent tried taking the bottle out of the truck.... but while purging it takes a maybe 2-3 seconds of nothing but air then the white blume comes out.... and if I wait a minute or so and I go to purge again it will do the exact same thing... its raining right now but as soon as it quits Im going to take it off truck and see what it does..

well that would be funny!!

but I filled it up that same day...

I was talking to a friend today and he said if the bottle pressure is low, that it would do that?? and the bottle pressure was at about ~800lbs? he said it needs to be anywhere from 950-1000lbs??

does that sound right?

i'm not sure if it was air or not but during my cobra run a good while back my nitrous took a dump on me. i thought the bottle was empty. after getting home and removing it it still felt heavy. turned out i still had around 4 pounds of it left. i often wondered if i had gotten air in the sytem causing me to think it was empty! all of my fittings are tight and sealed well.

so slow process could be right. it could just be air from the fill.
