I told him it was stupid! and a waste of effort! Hell, jut put the scuba tanks in the bed, put the tailgate down. and whack off the top of each one! Like that jet engine in the ford

Even if it was just used as supplemental air, you would still have to find some way to keep it from reversing direction and going out through the air filter....

Big Daddy Don Garlits tried this back in the late 50's. You can see it at his Ocalla Fl museum. Its a slingshot dragster with a I'm guessing here a 50 gallon airtank.

An air tank does not have enough volume to give any prolonged advantage. That is why God invented Nitrous. Its 80% oxygen compared to atmospheric 20%, and it will give you measured advantages from 5-15 passes down the 1/4.

33% actually, 80% would melt the pistons, block, rods and left tie rod-end in a matter of msec.....


I watched a old boss try to "boost" a diesel with 120 psi of shop air throw a 1/4 blow gun... LMFAO the engine didnt even notice... stupid diesel owners....
