Default Upgrade tires

I have a 2004 Silverado 2500, without a leveling or lift kit. it has the stock 245/75/16 tires on it. I'm a novice when it comes to tire size and I want to know how large of a tire I can go to. I'm willing to trim a bit to help fitment.

I've heard that 285's will fit but obviously want to make sure.

Thanks

285's are likely rub up front without a little leveling and cutting the bumper and maybe the fender flares if you are running any. Side wall height plays a factor as well.

275's will fit better depending on sidewall height. I think factory are 30-30.5in tires and going 31-32's should be okay but 33's will rub without a decent leveling.
