Default Turbos...

On an lm7 02 silverado 5.3l what twin turbo set up has everyone been successful with? Unfortunately I'll be running the stock rotating assembly.. new pistons old rods. .625/.625 cam with 113lsa. New springs and ls1 rockers with upgraded trunion.i have an hp tuner on the way. But I don't know what size turbos to go with.. the truck will be my daily driver so I don't want to go overkill but I don't want to not have enough to feel like it was a waste.. any info will be appreciated.

Twin turbos will be a ton of extra work and parts when you can only run it to 450-500hp because of the weak factory connecting rods.

A single 70mm turbo would be more than enough to do burn outs with. Twins would only require 60-65mm turbo's to make okay power.

So would 1 turbo be enough to run around 7 or 800hp while my foot is in it?

1 turbo will do way more then you need depending on it’s size.

So the turbo I bought is a 98mm gt45 t4 vband 1.05a/r. What size wastegate and bov should I use with it? I read that it might be better to run 2 smaller wastegates so if I run 2 where do I place them?

That must be a 98mm compressor exducer. Not sure it will hit your goal, do you have a link to it?

An intercooled GT45 should be able to make in the 700's crank hp on a 5.3 depending on your cam and have very nice response. In this power range, I would go single turbo to reduce piping, parts, and cost.
