Reintroduction from Maine
#1
I've been a lerker for years since high school, but now I've been through college and now have a full time job of my own which means time to spend all the money on what I want
Just bought it Sunday From Quirk Chevrolet in Braintree Mass
03 Sierra Denali awd, quadrasteer only 20,196 miles and its in perfect condition. I wasn't sure dvd navigation was available with them, but it has it. Also some aftermarket remote car start. I looked it all over to spot any signs of a frame being bent or straightened, new shiny parts that look replaced, and any any evidence of body work. From what I can tell the owener faulted on the lease/loan and the truck sat for a while then Quirk bough it and it sat again for about a month until they got the title. Here is the dealer pictures... and the total dammage... $18,300 including all the fee's. No sales or excise tax because I have to register it later this week. I thought It was a great deal and 4 wheel steering is amazing... GM marketing should be all shot for letting it fail. The entire feel of this truck is amazing... The seats are awesome.. I'm not a small guy and there are the first seats I have sat in that actually fit my frame w/o out being just flat benches. It needs more power and a couple other mods are planned
Right off is custom Cat back built by a friends father using hooker aerochamber exhaust, a tune(haven't decided if I wanna buy HP tunners and do it myself or get mail order). I'm gonna leave the rest stock for now unless any one has immediate suggestions.
I also need bigger mirros as these are too small for the truck in my opinion. I like be able to watch my tires and also be able to see behind me which is hard to do. I love the trailer tow mirros below but I think they will look weird on the truck... any ideas?

How about these..

Ultimatly I want to add the following.. but these are much higher cost items that I'm still fighting with myself on the cost/need of them
-radix mp112 @7ish psi boost
-Mildly ported 317's
-some cam in the 210/218 range that emphases low and mid tq to get this heavy truck moving
-FLT lvl5 4l60
-some sort of 20" rims/tires
-Detriot TruTrac
-BRAKES!!!!! holy crap this truck doesn't stop. I have to plant my foot pretty far to get it even shed some speed. After test driving the New GMT900's these brakes seem like rubber. Would braided lines help... or do i need all new rotors and calipers.. could I steel the master cylinder from the 05+ when the upgraded them?

Its amazing.. I can chuck this heavy truck in corners and the back en slides with me if i'm going bellow the speed where the wheels start to turn with you.. also on the highway lane changes are awesome. you can feel the back end comming with you.
