Hey all, new to the forum. Made a couple comments here and there, but not a formal intro.
Not new to hot rodding, but it's been a while. So the LS motors are all new to me. I'm trying to make heads or tails of the terminology (GMT800, GMT900, LQ this and that, LS1, LS7, LS14, etc... lol)
I have 2 Chevy trucks, a 2011 2WD, RCSB 1500 with 4.8 and a 2003 4WD, RCLB 2500HD with 6.0. The little truck has had some cosmetic mods and will be getting some performance upgrades in the future. The big truck has been leveled, has Speed Engineering shorty headers, but is mainly a work truck. It will be getting some much needed cosmetic attention in the near future.
I also am into bikes. I attached a picture of my 02 Road King (not a recent picture, some changes have been made since this photo, but it looks mostly the same..... It's a LOT faster, however... 😆 ). I have a '52 Harley FLH project as well, scheduled to begin in 2017!
But meanwhile, looking forward to learning about the newer trucks, the LS engines, and bringing myself from the age of small blocks, Holly carburetors and Hooker Headers into the present!

Thanks! Been reading some of the drag racing threads, which is resparking my interest in the drags. Been over 20 years since I've been to the strip; used to go EVERY Friday night for a while, there.
It'll be a couple years out, as I have several large house projects under way, plus the Panhead bike build I mentioned, but maybe the little red truck might see some drag strip action! That would be FUN!
Never personally been to a drag strip never really had anything fast enough to bother with embarassing myself with, however im kinda curious what my big truck and my camaro run... Granted car is mostly stock, and truck is lifted and has wheel hop like a champ, but itd be fun to see what they do anyway.... Especially once im caught up on my trucks i plan on some serious mods to the car..... Be interesting to see what improvements the mods make
The LS is a great starting point for a hot rodder! Youre going to love it! Being an SBC guy you will be blown away my the capability of the new platform with stock or modified stock parts!
