I need my head checked for missing parts. I got boared and started a new project. Its a 93 s10 with a (weedeater) 2.8 in it. So being a man I thought it could use more power. I bought a 2005 Chevy Slivarodo (that had been totaled) with a 5.3L vortec and a 4 speed automatic. Problem, I Know not Jack about Vortecs or Fuel injection. I'm old scholl Bowtie Blocks and Dominator holleys. Where do I start with all the wiring for the electronics?

 

Just start reading on forums and then read some more...Do all the searching you can as alot of people have swapped gen 3 motors into older platforms..Keeping everything labled and orginized is key!! good luck...........

Best thing you will ever do with that swap is get in touch with current performance wiring. My buddy and i built an awesome 96 s10 5.3 and it turned over the first time and ALL the factory guages and dash works. It requires alot of research and 5.3 conversion stuff but sooo well worth it. Google 5.3 s10 search will be your best friend.
