What do you guys think, high compression n/a, or low compression boosted? Would like some opinions before I decide on my engine swap.

Yeah, daily driver. And by high compression, i'm talking about around 11:1.
I know that's really not all that high.

What are you looking to get out of it?
max power = turbo
towing = radix
stop light racing = N/A or Radix and turbo if it's a good set-up
freeway racing = Turbo
Cruising = N/A
DD = All of the above
So...what are you trying to get out of it?

That' a good question Spoolin. I guess I never really thought about it that much. I would like to do a turbo or something with 400 cu.in. or more. Would it make sense to build a engine of 400cubes or more with a turbo for a daily driver?

Depends on what you mean by makes sense!! From what I understand it's hard to hook up anything more than 750HP on the street with 2wd and street tires(no matter how big). I'm sure others might have a different figure but it's +/- 50hp. However, that is not stopping me in the least bit from my current build which will hopefully push 850rwhp on my DD.
Now is that sensible...Not really but that's not important to me. I think the highest sensible numbers for a DD, depending on the powerband and how you get to this number is around 550rwhp +/- for a truck of your size. Because big turbo's on 408cc engines(for example) "sometimes" lag, power down low in the powerband won't be great so people compromise by getting high stall TqConv to build boost off the line but that really kills your driveability IMO. Hopefully someone with a big TC might chime in and give you a personal account on the driveability of their truck because I could be wrong. I think SC's are great for DD and street use. You might want to look up trever1t on here. He has a really good set-up from what I understand. But with a SC you'll be limited eventually in max HP numbers if you want to go any higher at some point. However, I don't want to step on anyone's toes because there are some SC that are in 4 figure hp #'s. Personally I'm a turbo guy and with a really good set-up you'll find power anywhere in your power band but it's a bit easier to do with a SC set-up.
Anyway, search around the site and look up people's DD... https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=386715
This is an thread that's on going about people's trucks as DD's and just look at their numbers and you'll get an idea as to what most people are doing. Some people are close to 600hp so go figure, there's probably some with more but I didn't look at them all.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice, it will help me make a decision. Guess i've got a little more research to do, to decide exactly what i'm gonna do.
