maybe you all can give me some good websites to find these parts that have reasonable deals. and by changing the gear ratio in the rear axle will that mess with the 4wd when engaged?

before considering gears, check to see what gears you have theres a list of codes in the glove box find which one of these you see and that will tell you:

GQ1 -- AXLE REAR, STD RATIO
GT4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.73 RATIO
GT5 -- AXLE REAR, 4.10 RATIO
GU4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.08 RATIO
GU5 -- AXLE REAR, 3.23 RATIO
GU6 -- AXLE REAR, 3.42 RATIO
G80 -- AXLE REAR, LIMITED SLIP (POSITRACTION)

if you change the rear gears, you also need to change the fronts. So that can be quite expensive. In that case it may just be best to stay with what you have.

With rims that big it is going to be hard to be fast... that is why I stopped at 2's and I still have a huge disadvantage. If your on a budget I would say spray if not I would bite the bullet and put 4.10 gears in the front and back which will wake that truck up! It has take alot for me to be close to alot of the semi stock trucks on here SUV's are heavy.

i know those pickups are light. i only ride the 6's for a few months then the stock 16s get roasted. it suprises me every year when i put the stockers back on cuz it actually has a little bit of *****. i dont think i would ever put no2 on my truck, i would blow it up in a week. im not trying to drag anyone but i would like to do a few things and dyno it for fun
