Default Newwwwwwbbbbbbeeeee

Yes i am a newbie...... Hello my name is shannon..... I reside in the (presently) flesh frying southern california. I am 23 years old, but i bring over 11 years of wrenching and tuning experience to the table. I work with GM so if any of you ever need part numbers or vehicles looked up, just let me know.

This is "my" first new truck. I have worked on many, but this is mine.

i have a 2006 ecsb 4.8 3.73 G80 (all stock)

Some of my previous and present projects are:

- 2007 chevrolet tahoe (stock.... almost )

- ** just got ** new tbss (no pics yet) i call it the soccer wagon

- 1998 k1500
*engine- G.M. crate 383. Magnacharger 5.7 supercharger
- last dyno was at R&D dyno 418 rwhp @ 5480 rpm 496 lb/ft @ 3200 rpm
- those may seem low, but it was with 37" tires on fresh engine, and 3.73 diff
- now has 4.56 diff
- gm poppet to MPFI conversion
- GM hot cam kit
- 1 ton 37 gal fuel tank
- 6" pro comp susp lift, 3" body lift
- flip out touch screen 7" widescreen
- 2 12" JL w0 subs pushed by phoenix gold 1000's
in order not to ***** the post, ill stop this one there. there is just too much to list

-2005 monte carlo SS
- Nascar # 28 (kevin harvick) replica car

- 1996 caprice interceptor (ex highway patrol car)
- lt5 conversion (dohc 32v out of grand sport corvette)
- approx 473 hp cant rememebr tq
- put back in all the police equipment (for fun)
- got too many tickets had to sell

- 1983 chev malibu station wagon
*engine 1989 chev corvette engine L98 tuned port FI
- AFR aluminum fast burn style heads
- Vortech R-trim compressor
- Grenaded motor 7 different times...
- damn crappy accel injectors!!!
- 3.73 9" spooled rearend (yes this is street car, stupid i know)
- meth injection
- and for anyone that knows tpi motors "a spare ecm in the glove box"

- 1985 camaro
- built 383
- never dynoed, butt dyno says it was fast as hell
- brother blew up on freeway revving past 7000 to impress some chick

Hope post was not to long.... Like i said i have many years of tuning experience, and have worked with some of the best in many hot rod shops with my dad. So any help you guys need, please ask... i may be able to help

I hope to get to know you all, and maybe some of you can give me some ideas for my new truck..... I really think this thing is going to need a custom tune.... I wanna buy hp tuners software, but all the new stuff in this truck i'll be the first to admit is a little intimidating. maybe ill get a custom tune, and take it apart, and compare to a stock tune, just to see what i can do..

Well please feel free to give me ideas for what to do to my truck... any help would be cool, just till i get used to this, and from what i see most of you have a pretty vast knowledge of these new trucks, and i'd love to leech some of it off you.

i am in souther cal so any of you wanna come take a look at some of my other custom stuff, or just shoot the and help me figure out my truck, or boat or bikes. pm me, and i will tell you to come on by. happy motoring

here is my new toy

Welcome, always great to have newbies, even better when they bring tech to the table. Great "projects" there. And welcome to what you are already aware of as an addiction.

Yes i have looked alot at the sts kit. Any idea what kinda financing they offer, i just got this, i just had to buy a 502 for my jet boat (long story short: last month in laughlin went knock knock boom, now laughlin trip 6 days away, and motor still only half in... also paying for $ 7000 engagment ring.... and my new truck..... so i am a little tight

btw thanks all of those projects are an accumulation of about the last 6 - 10 years.... God it doesnt seem that long ago, then you look at all the work ad you realize how long ago it was

much appreciated
