I don't know if you'd call me a newbie or not here, I've been into the LS1 cars (3 f-bodies, 1 corvette) for 7 years, but last night I bought a '05 1/2 ton crew cab with the 5.3L. Pretty nice truck. It will pretty much stay stock.

I also made a deal for a 5.3L engine for my 68 Chevy project that I'm currently working on...that's where more of the info I may pick up on here may be directed towards. Currently the frame is in the garage. It has been sandblasted and painted with por 15. I'm now ready to begin the re-assembly process of the frame/suspension. It's gonna be awhile before it runs, but it should be awesome when it does.
