Hi guys, this is Chris from Memphis, TN. I just picked up a black '03 Silverado ECSB with a 5.3. I have been on LS1tech for years, but haven't really ever had a performance truck project until now so Im new to this side of the forums. I have only owned 1 other truck ('05 2 door Tahoe), but that was years back.

The truck has 160k on it, but I feel like I got a pretty good deal on it. The truck is in pretty good shape over all, but has a couple of minor issues:

-The PS pump is leaking a little somewhere.
-The A/C system makes a bit of noise from the compressor and sometimes doesn't get very cold at startup and idle. It seems almost like it takes driving it at higher RPM to build up pressure in the lines or something, but then it seems to stay cold fine after that. It has only done that a couple of times though.

If anybody has any advice on these issues, please feel free to chime in. I'll probably hit up the junk yard sometime soon.

Got the leak in the PS system fixed, it was actually the rack that needed replacing. As far as the A/C system goes, I think that may be the compressor going out. I have a good compressor left over from my 2000 LS1 Trans Am, does anybody know if the f-body compressor is the same as the one in the Silverado?
