Hey guys,

Been a long time lurker here and finally decided sign up. My project truck is a 99 white ford Lightning that was left to me when my grandfather passed away. He was the original owner of the truck and before his passing it sat for about 5 years collecting dust.

The motor needs to be rebuilt and there is some rust in areas that need to be attended to.

The truck is currently in the process of getting back halfed, and 4 linked. I've already purchased a Ford GT aluminum block and also a set of Ford GT heads. This project with see a large set of twins as well.

I want the truck to be able to take on 1/4 pass to full standing mile events. Needless to say its going to be one heck of a ride if I can continue to make progress on it.

The trucks nickname is Cocaine because its white and its one hell of an addiction.

This was me and my grandpa when he bought the truck new in 99.


This is pretty much as I made the truck a full roller in the garage


And here is some of the rust on the truck that really made me decided that the truck just needs a full restoration/built the way I want it.

 

Sounds like a fun project.


But I'll be honest about one thing, that "rust" is on everything up here in the north haha, nothing like that here would make one bat an eye at lol.

 

When I removed the fender there was 2 holes that were suppose to be there that I could literally put my fist through
