I'm new here and this is my 1st post, Been wanting to do a motor swap on my own 09 Silverado, (4.8, 2wd) For a long time now and now I'm gonna do it, I could really use some help and be pointed in the right direction to get the proper LS motor and proper specs for everything the lineup any help will be much appreciated, thank you in advance.

 

The search function has a bunch of FAQs in the stickies about motor swap compatibility. Here is my suggestion if the motor is mechanically sound just put a turbo on it. It would be more power than you could just swap in and when you eventually did do a swap (if you still wanted to) then it would be even more power and torque.
