Question

Hi, I have a 2000 first generation tahoe limited 5.7 at this time i have full exhaust, K&N intake, super chips programmer - "it's worth the $" power slot brakes It will do over 135 MPH. my goal is to run and film the gumball rally. most or these cars run 150 to 200 mph does anyone think that an old HO can do it with a LS7 and low stiff suspension? I know somone that has run a Benetly GT that car has a twin turbo V12 550 HP and it will run 180-200MPH and it is 800Lbs more than my HOE.
Thank's Shawn

Tahoes are slow, there's just no way around it.

Why would you ever want to take a tahoe to 180mph?? You might as well be trailering a casket behind yourself. Your suburban weighs 5123 pounds stock and and a Bentley GT is 5258 which is not 800 more pounds.

Anything is possible if you want to spend the money...and weight isn't the biggest issue with your hoe anyways.
You'll need much more than your set-up to get there. Figure a turbo charger with more than 650 rwhp. Anyways, at those speeds what's more important isn't weight but aerodynamics...weight is more important when considering how fast you want to get up to speed, otherwise stated as acceleration.
The fact that our trucks are bricks is your biggest issue and at those speeds will be your truck falling apart, 180mph is gonna start rattling your truck apart, issue isn't so much suspension or power, which you can easily achieve.
