Default new here 07 silverado

Hey whats up everybody! I just purchased an 07 silverado LT 4.8. It's all stock at the moment but I am hoping to change that really soon. The mods I want to go with first are: dual exhaust preferably with the pipes dumping in front of the rear wheels, ECM programmer, and CAI.
I also am looking to improve the aesthetics a little bit with a soft tonneau cover, rear wheel well liners and maybe a level kit.
Well, that's what I am rolling with and hopefully some of you guys that have been doing this stuff for a while can help me sort some of this stuff out. At this point I don't know what the best quality gear is. I haven't owned a truck in almost 8 years. I am at 285/295 HP/torque right now and my goal is to be at somewhere around 350/350 or better by this time next year.
So, any suggestions or feedback would be very much appreciated and I look forward to trading some knowledge! Thanks

Welcome, for future reference though, don't get a programmer. Hook up with a good tuner here on the site. You will see more gains for roughly the same price.

Welcome to PT. As stated above go with a mail in tune or find a good local tuner and get a dyno tune. There is alot if info here on the site. Just take your time and do your research .(to many people make rash decisions they regret later) I know I did. Your HP/TQ #'s should be easy to obtain. Good luck

A "tuner" is someone who will strap your truck to a dyno or do a street tune then hook a comuter to your obdII connector then with their software (usually hp tune or equavelent) install a custon tune to your truck via the pcm. Blackbear or nelson or wheatley are mail in tuners.(or if you are lucky enough to catch them near you they can dyno tune as well) They will mail you a pcm with a tune on it. then you remove your old pcm install the new one and mail back your old one (so they can use it for the next tune) Both ways are WAY better then any hand held programmers.

welcome screw the mail order PCM hit. Autocal is where its at so much faster and easier to do with the ability to log data so that the tuner can fine tune your truck woot woot
