New guy in Southern VA
Hey all -
I wandered in here while lurking around LS1Tech. Great site you have, and a lot of killer trucks.
Oddly, I didn't come here for info on how to mod my '05 Z71 Tahoe, but rather my '77 Camaro. I'm going to be doing an LSx/T56 swap soon, and had been thinking about an LQ9 or LY6 (sadly, an LS3 or L92 is a little beyond the budget). After seeing that some of you GM guys are running 12's in naturally aspirated L33-powered trucks that weigh 4000lbs+, I may just put an L33 in the car, and mod it with a cam, headers, custom tune and LS6 intake. I've gotten my Camaro down to 3350lbs so far, and will take another 100lbs or so off when I remove the all-iron 350 in it and replace it with an aluminum 5.3...add the T56 and rear gears, and it'll scream. L33's are CHEAP to buy used with low miles!
You guys have me seriously thinking about this now!

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Cody - Cool, I've been to Chase City a couple times. I'm really liking it down here (originally from CT). The roads are much better here in VA, and there's a lot of back roads to cruise on with no traffic. Of course there's 4 dragstrips within an hour or so, which is also a big plus.
I'm off to snoop around for L33 info.
