Hey everyone!

Just thought I would say hello to the community and let everyone know that I'm excited to be here since I'm a Chevy ONLY man!

While I'm in here, I have a question really quick.

I've googled this question, and can't quite seem to find the right answer, so I thought I would ask really quick.

I'm having my transmission service done tomorrow and I'm pre-buying the transmission fluid and transmission filter before I take it over to the shop to have the process done. My question is this.. what type of transmission fluid does my transmission use?

My truck is a 2005 Chevrolet 1500 crew-cab (2wheel-drive); Vortec 5.3 V8 with the stock factory transmission. Anyone mind helping a fellow Chevrolet lover/driver out?
