Well, I have been on LS1tech for 5yrs & my Trans Am has occupied my time that entire time. But alas as I grow older & my family grows bigger I need a second vehicle & its gonna be a truck. My TA will be goin on the back burner probably for the better part of a couple years as soon as I purchase my truck. Its in bad need of some attention. She is right at 16xk miles & the age is showing, but as my daily driver I cant have the down time to do the things that need done.
I'm lookin forward to meeting some new people over here, getting my truck knowledge on & for the first time in my life, owning a truck. Just wanted to stop in & say hi even though I currently dont have a truck. I'll be doin lots of research so I make sure I pick the right truck for me.
As of right now I'm lookin at something like a Silverado/GMC 1500 extended cab short bed with the suicide style second doors so I have room for the kids. I dont really want a long bed as the ext. cab seems long enough with the short bed.
Plans for whatever truck I get as of right now is:
Leveling kit
wheel/tires (I like the Nitto Terra Grapplers tires)
tint
exhaust
stereo
Its gonna be my daily driver so I dont wanna do much & end up in the same boat I am with the TA, LOL. So it'll stay mostly stock engine/tranny/rear wise.

LOL, well I gotta tell myself something. I'm really not wanting to do much with it.....until the TA is finished anyway, LOL.
But the TA has alot of time & money it needs. I need to get it painted, slap a 12 bolt in it, get the T56 rebuilt, new clutch, new hydrolics cause my stock master is shot, new bushing/ball joints & since the engine is a little old I'm thinkin about a LS3 swap with Fast 92 & EPS custom cam. So its got a few years worth of wrench time coming its way.

Man if I manage to find a crew cab in my price range I'll jump on it. Honestly when I started looking around I didnt realize trucks were still holding their value so good with gas prices & the economy. But damn, its hard to find anything with right at 100k or less on the clock for anything under $10-12k. I have 2 daughters 3yrs & 7yrs old.
My good friend just opened a Automotive repair shop in Sapulpa & a couple of the smaller car lots are running all their auction purchases through him before they hit the lots, so I'm hoping he can score me a find. He is a die hard truck guy & is already on the lookout for me.
