Welcome! Lots of threads and knowledgable people here, just start pokin around.

Stock cats are right under the exhaust manifolds- long tubes replace both the manifold and this section of pipe, so in short, no.

Only way around it is 1. Have a connection that will get you to pass smog when the times comes. 2. or put your stock stuff back on when it's time to smog it.

doesnt take long to swap out the new stuff for the stock stuff when it comes time for smog, definitely worth having the long tubes IMO

what part of cali are you from?

all you need is headers and a y pipe, took me like 2 hrs to swap the new exhaust from the old one. you can reuse the stock muffler for i dont see a point in doing that so pretty much a whole new system

I regret getting my shorties. If I knew my truck wouldn't pass smog anywho, I would have broken the law to it's fullest extent. :p Will eventually switch out to an LPP LT's

dont even bother with shorties like hugo (blown4.8) said buy some long tubes with the off-road y-ppe that bolts up to ur stock cat-back , once youve changed your exhaust for the first time it wont take you more then 2 hours the second and 3rd ..lol its not that hard if you have an idea how to turn some wrenches ..lol

Almost forgot WELCOM FROM SO-CAL
