Well, I have been lurking for a good while, so I figured I would finally post.

I am not huge into yapping on line, but forums like this are a great place to learn, provided they have knowledgeable membership.

My current project is finally finished, with the exception of putting the new a/c compressor on. It is a true 454SS truck.

Short version: 460 c.i.d. / 177 Weiand blower / purpose built 700R4 w/full manual reverse valve body (just to prove it can be done)

>600 ft #'s of torque & don't care how much horsepower it makes

I know how everyone is all about pic's, so here is the link. It will probably be up for sale soon.

Welcome.

I said it once, and I'll say it again... that's a very, very nice truck.

I just don't have the time to fool with it anymore.

I can't seem to get my 15 year old son interested in cars, but we both love offshore fishing.

With my schedule it is hard to keep up with two hobbies like that.

I already posted it on the 454SS forum for $12500.00, but I didn't have enough posts to put it on this one.

I'll hook the a/c back up if it doesn't sell soon, but I'll add another $2,000 to the price.

I don't need to sell it, but it is just sitting in the garage. Someone could be enjoying it a lot more than I am.

The ratchet shifter with the manual valve body makes it a blast to drive.

Thanks,

I bought it about a year ago with only 54K original miles on it.
It hasn't been driven much since then.
It was pretty oem when I got it. I lowered it, added some wheels, smoothie bumper, roll pan, etc.
After that, I installed a centrifugal huffer on the stock engine. That wasn't fast enough, so then came the drive train transformation project.
