Default new guy

i made an account here awhile ago to talk to a guy and forgot about it! But do check these forums every once in a while and im here to stay. I have n 02 5.3L silverado. Only performance mods so far really are true dual exhaust with LT Headers, CAI, and W4M tune. Looking to add many junk this year since i finally have something else to use for a DD. I for sure want to upgrade to a better trans, maybe a level 5 built 4l60e, or 4l80e (stock or built) and a bigger cam. (really could use some help picking one up) cant decide if spending thousands more for a turbo is justified, however i really would love to turbo this thing.

I've also done so audio as well, dynamated all doors, and soon to finish the headliner, back wall, floor and firewall. rockford components in the front, JL 4.5" in the back. In the process of lifting the back seat so i can build a bigger ported box for subs, havent decided what to get yet though.

here are some pics!

and before you say it, i know i need a baffle for the speakers and fill that huge hole, but need to get the window motors replaced before i do that and i spaced on the baffle so ill get that done at the same time.

just a lil fun.

took this thing to the track for the first time on weds and it ran 16.039 @ 87.18MPH on its first, and best of 4 runs.. i want 14s by the end of the summer for sure, maybe even 13s, we'll see... looking forward to hearing from you all!

yes it does help a ton. i'd suggest getting a cheaper sound deadener though. Lowest price available for a bulk pack of dynamat (36sq ft) is about $115-$120. You can get raammat that is like 1/4 the price. It's not quite as thick, however you can double, triple that **** up and have it sound better, and still be cheaper. Second skin is probably the thickest and is also cheaper then dynamat.

Welcome to the site, sharp looks truck. When it comes to go fast mods, sit back and start reading and searching before breaking out your wallet.
