Howdy,
I'm from Southern Maryland. Been lurking a bit, and thought I'd join up. I'm currently in the process, of dropping a 2004 5.3/4L60E combo into my 1980 CJ-7.
Just trying to learn what I can from y'all. This should give me plenty of ooomph, considering the size of my Jeep.
I have Block Huggers, and will build a CAI, and maybe a dual exhaust. If anyone, could give me a good source to make sure I plumb all of the hoses etc..........properly, I'd appreciate it. I already have a book, on hotrodding etc.the LS/LT1........but if there is a book, that better illustrates all of the plumbing, I'm all ears.......or eyes in this case.

Thanks for the Welcome. Yes, a CJ-7 is @10" longer, Jeep wanted to go with an automatic Tranny. Also, yes a YJ tub, can work........with a little massaging. A CJ tub, will also fit on a YJ frame.........again, with a little creativity.
Thanks again folks,
