Default New from Eastern North Carolina

Just picked up my 04 Silverado about 3 weeks ago after totaling my 03. I've had an 04 Z71, and 3- ECSB 2WD (02, 03, and current 04). This is my daily driver.

Always looking for new information on these trucks. This is the first one that I've had with the 4.8L.

Welcome to the forum.

I go to school at Clemson, so I'm in charge of the southern section!

Nice looking truck, any plans for mods?

Hard to say. My last truck had a Spectre drop in filter; I'll probably do the same to this one. Might try a Airaid MIT or a K&N tube. I might lower it some and maybe add some 18 inch GM wheels (Chevy or GMC).

I dabble in car audio. Still learning what can / can't be done with the old Bose system. Thinking about upgrading to either Infinity or JBL speakers. Thinking about double din also.

Big thing is that I"m not really sure what can be done to the 4.8L. Trying to learn all I can about it.

Welcome! Hope you didn't have too much damage from that hurricane. I think you will find a lot can be done with the 4.great if you look around a little Look forward to seeing some pics!

I've posted a few pics in an album. Not much to show right now since I just got it. It does have the clouded headlights and unbonded tail lights; plan to replace with new.

Most of what I have in mind for it is just cleaning up the body. Rear bumper was pushed into the rear sheet metal; managed to get it pulled away. I've debadged the tailgate. Thinking about removing the side molding. Hoping that when I do it, there isn't moisture under the molding. I'll wait for warmer weather to pull the molding.

Lots of wind and rain. About a week later was when the flooding started. Hurricane flooded the local river and I couldn't go to work for a week (not that it mattered since the boss had us working from home). This was the first hurricane that my family had been through. I moved to Greenville, NC 2 years ago after getting a transfer. I work as a factory rep for a forklift manufacturer. Been with the company for 21 years.
