New chick from TX

Hey y'all... I was just on the LS1 Tech website and someone pointed out the Performance Trucks tab. I'm new to this sight and wanted to say hello and possibly get some help...
Anyway, my truck is a red 4-door 2006 V8 Chevrolet Silverado LS 1500. It has very few scratches on it but the problem is the hood. I have more than a few "rock" chips in the paint on the very front of my hood and I just hate that it's the only part that doesn't look that clean when I get it washed. What do y'all think it would cost me to get my hood repainted? Also, are there any other solutions for this besides having to get my entire hood repainted?
Thanks!
Jen

Forget pics of your truck you need to post pics of YOU!!
As far as the Hood goes, I'm not sure what it's called but it's a guard that you put over the hood that's the same color of the hood. Seen them on Corvette's alot and you can't tell that it's even there. They protect the hood from everything, it's different than a clear bra or bug guards or whatever.

Welcome to the Forum Miss TX, don't mind the hounds
The answer to your question is yes, you will have to have the hood painted. Rock chips are ugly but inevitable and about the only solution is a clear protectant film that you can apply over the front and mirrors.
By all means post up some pics of your truck!!
