Default Need some help/advice on new truck

My name's Phil

I love working on cars and also playing in the mudd

I am selling my 2001 SS camaro and 1996 grand cherokee for certain reasons. And I have started looking for a truck. I have been looking for a 2003-2005 chevy 1500 z71 in black. I don't think for my 16k-17k max to spend I can find a 03-05 2500 diesal. Payments will have to be around 200 and under a month

I have built my dad a 2005 avalanche 1500 with 6" lift, 33's, 18;s, exhaust, tune, intake... the work. And now am looking for one myself.

Just looking for some advice from you guys in where to find the by best deal!

here's one I just found a few minutes ago

So what kind of truck are you looking for exactly? You want an 03-05 Z71? And you budget is 16-17k?

Check out our truck classifieds... there's a few guys here selling trucks similar to what you're looking for.

How much you letting your Camaro go for?

if you spend 16-17 id say your payments are gonna be more than 200 unless you have ALOT to put down.

the one you posted in that ad id say is a bit to expensive, it probably has high miles bein that i didnt see them listed (or im an idiot and completely over looked that lol)

also another thing, i would open your horizon a little more. i too ONLY wanted a chevy, i never even used to consider the GMC, then one day i started lookin for them to and i found a smokin deal on one... 7 months later i have the truck in my sig lol. jmo tho

I think it's hard to find a good deal on Auto Trader. It seems like the asking prices are always very high. But if you find something you like, you can alway try to negotiate a better price. I found my truck through ebay, but I didn't buy it through ebay.
I would also plan on saving back a couple grand to be ready for a transmission, if you get anything that still has a stock tranny. Even if the truck is fairly low mileage it can't hurt to have a transmission fund.
