I'm swapping out motor with a new gm replacement and I thinking about switching out the cam and putting a upgraded one. I have a new 4l60e transmission with 4l80 internals with a shift kit, 3.73 rear end. And i was wondering with kind of cam I should go with I want a nice sound and I don't want to do any major modifications to the motor.

I'm definitely no tranny expert either, It was just funny because there is no 4l60e with 4l80e internals, because if there was nobody would be doing 4l80e swaps. I'm sure you're aware of this due to your response, "exactly what do you mean you have a 4l60e with 4l80e internals" I just got a good laugh out of it... I'm curious too by what he means!

Well, if you've got the 95 2500LD you have a good read end... 14 bolt semi-float and beefier leaf springs, maybe a extra one, and the 373 gears. Some of those years came with a 700r4, but I'm sure you have the 4l60e; as stated earlier.
As for the cam, I would go with a comp 12-249-4 or you could go with a LT-1 cam( which is a roller cam), and you would have to change a few other things to run the LT-1 cam; lifters, spider plate, and link bars.
Just google 350 TBI LT1 cam swap! This will give you all the info you need to know about that.
