Default My first 4.8

Ok here it is I have a 06 4.8 with 55,000 miles I've got airraid jr intake and a 40 series flow master I'm in the works of putting shorty headers and I have my high flow cats just haven't put them on yet but my question is I want to cam it but I want to run stock heads so what would be my best purchase I also live on the south west side of Houston and I'm gonna have khp tune my truck before the cam

Welcome. Do LTs not shorties and have KHP tune AFTER the cam. Post up some pics of the ride.

I was thinking of LT's but I just don't want to get rid of the stock y and I don't have a big budget I'm having to do it one part at a time but the cam won't be real soon since I travel for work I don't really have alot of time and ill try to post a pic

If you're going to do it, it's worth doing right. Shorties don't flow much better than the factory manifolds. Not enough to notice a difference, where as long tubes can net 20+ horsepower. You can pick up Pacesetter long tubes and a y pipe pretty cheaply.

How much are we talking and will I still be able to use my o2 sensors and cats I've found headers on summit but no y pipe how do u post pics I can't figure it out

Download photobucket. Upload pic(s) to photobucket. Select pic and click the i in the bottom right hand corner. Then copy the IMG box and paste in the message box.

But anyways back to the cam what's my options for a cam and running stock heads and stock trans for now
