Long time lurker, figured id make my intro post. From Wilmington, NC, currently have an 05 Sierra that is fighting a 5.3 swap tooth and nail. Tried posting in the GMT800 subsection but guess I have to make an intro post first.

 

Welcome - a fellow NC '04 Sierra tinkerer here. She gave up fighting engine swaps a while back :>)

 

I'm hoping this will be the only engine swap for quite a while haha, the original 4.3 made it to 240k miles. Hoping this 5.3 treats me just as well.

Welcome!! a pretty big group of us truck guys are from morehead city area, We usually make it out to Jacksonville's dragstrip a lot, not too far from you, Come check it out sometimes!!

 

I'll have to keep that in mind! At some point id like to take the truck up there to see how slow it is haha
