Default Ls7

I Currently Have A 2000 Silverado Extended Cab With The 5.3 Engine.
I'm Dreaming About Putting A Ls7 Create Engine In To It.
Anyone Ever Done Such Crazy Thing? Any Forseeable Problems?
Will The 4l60e Trans Handle The Horse Power?
Thanks, Don

It could fairly easily be done but you could go faster for much less than $12k with a 408 from a 6.0 block. Just my $.02. Now if you just want the LS7, then that is a different story.

Yeah it could be done... but other than to say you did it, why? Like MJ said, you could go a lot faster for less than the cost of an LS7. And LS7 uses a dry sump oil system, you'd have to figure that out. And an LS7 would prolly eat your 4L60e in a day, besides the fact that a 4L60e can barely handle a 6.0, I'm sure your has quite a few miles on it.

but if you REALLY REALLY want it, and have like 15,000 or so laying around, then go for it.

I dreamed of one also. Partly for the power plant, but also just to say I have one, and cause they are bad ***. After learning what I have learned, there is no way I would spend that much money on one. I guarantee a tuboed or S/C'd 408 will be cheaper, and make more power.
