Looking forward to jeopardizing my financial security

Hey ya'll
My F250 is haunted by demons, so I am the proud new owner of a 2012 RCSB Silverado. Its the most basic of base models (with a 4.8) but I'm into it.
For the time being, I call Southern California home, so I am stuck following CARB protocols. We've had a few instances of local shops being shut down, so now isn't the time to be sneaky. For these reasons, I'll be going the legal (and slower) route.
For the time being, my plans involve a Whipple 2.3 or 2.9, a 4L80e and supporting mods that if need be could be removed quickly. My original turbo plans dont fit into this, but since this is my DD, maybe 450-550whp will do the trick?
In any case, I'm enjoying that new vehicle feeling for the time being. I look forward to getting started.

You won't need a Whipple that big to make those numbers, I don't think. Could probably do it on an LSA setup. But the 4l80 is definitely a good idea. You gonna do the DOD/AFM delete?

Upwards of 500whp with the Eaton blower may be asking a little much on a 4.8 unless I'm pushing it upward of 15psi and running straight E85. I'm still doing the research, but I do like the cfm data I see on the whipple pieces. If nothing else, it gives me room to grow if I were to swap the engine at a later time. I dont really want to go smaller than a 2.3. The 4L80 is up there on the priority list for sure, and thankfully I dont have to worry about DOD/AFM. It didn't come on this truck. The only work around I may need to do is VVT, but that will be dependent on the cam I choose.
