Hello everyone!! New to this forum and really the first GM forum I've signed up for. I'm coming from the Ford modular work. 03 Cobra is what I've been working on for the past ten years.
Recently I've been building a 85 GMC Jimmy. I put a 5.3 along with a 4l80e transmission. 14 bolt ff rear and Dana 44 front. It's been a ton of fun and it's openedy eyes into how easy and affordable building an LS can be to make awesome power.
Currently I'm building a 5.3 trying to get around 450hp out of it. Just finished tearing it down today. Plan is to install some 4.8 pistons and a cam. Heads are gonna be build with larger intake valves. I'm going to stay with the truck heads for the smaller combustion chamber and higher comp. I'll probably start a build thread soon. Thanks guys, have a great one!! Oh btw I'm in the market for some 4.8 piston let me know if anyone's got a set.
