6.0 swap, cam, heads, full bolt ons, built tranny and stall and possibly nitrous if you can afford it.

Or keep the 5.3 and throw a used supercharger on it and supporting fuel system/tune.

thats what i was gonna say,and from the sig, he already has a built tranny, so a healthy 6.0 would be the way to go

Glad to have another Tahoe on here... too many flipping pickups in here!

But I picked up a Radix for a good price and am about to throw that on my tahoe, but you are off to a good start with those mods. I went with a s/c because it's my daily driver so I wanted to keep the MPG good and it quiet, and when I am ready to sell the truck, I can pull it off easily and sell it.

Use the search feature and read up, there are some serious Tahoes on here... one with a 502 and spray, a couple Radix'ed and cammed, I think a couple with turbos, and an LS2 transplant.

1-4k is just a starting point right?.... Cause if that's all you got, flee while you still can! You will go broke from this site... its a vicious disease that grabs on to your wallet and never lets go!
