Smile Hey Yall, from Tennessee

Found the forum through an hours-long Google search. Lifetime Chevy enthusiast. In my late teens, I bought and rebuilt a 305 with a Chilton manual and Delco parts just to learn how to do engine work.

Hope I have something to offer in return for the questions I know I'll have, but I've never built a high performance motor before. I have a 2006 Silverado Z71 that happens to have an L33, 250k on the clock that needs rebuilt or replaced.

Looking forward to being here through the build. I just got another DD so I can tear down my truck, so it's crunch time.

So far that search button has saved me a $h!+ ton of money, and I've only been poking around here for a couple of days. I'm old school and keep a notebook to make lists, etc and that list has changed dramatically. This place is way better than any of the Silverado/Sierra forums.

Thanks! Now I have to go dig around for that S10 build write up in your signature.

I, too, love the Chevelle. 71 is my favorite. Something about the round head and tail lights...

I did see a 69 with 71/72 rear tail lights at Goodguy's in Nashville a few years back. Beautiful car. Red w/ black stripes and black vinyl top. I'm not even that crazy about the vinyl look, but I was digging that car.

My S10 build is on another site. It has been stalled for well over a year waiting on the machine shop. It was going to be a Procharged 4.3 but had motor problems and decided not to spend more on it.

I always wanted a 70 but was drawn in to the 69. I just can't get into the 71-72s.
