Im starting a build right now I have a 2005 with a 4.3 and Im gonna put a 4.8 in it the truck is a standard is their anything I should wach out for

go bigger with your choice of motor.....what are your plans for the "build"

I agree with going bigger, if your going to take the time and money go for the 6.0!

Welcome. I might as well jump on the wagon also.. If you are set on swapping, def go for a 5.3 or the 6.0, be happy after the swap.

Welcome! I agree with everyone else go BIG! The 4.8 is a good engine but a 6.0 is just as easy to install and you will get WAAAAYYYY more power out of it with mods. Lunati even makes a 427 stroker kit for the 6.0 which is on my list of things to do to my truck.....
