I thought I'd introduce myself. Last month I bought an '01 Silverado ECSB with an LQ9 swap. Of course two weeks ago I smoked the 4l60e.

So, long story short, the truck is on stands in my garage and my 4L80e is waiting right next the the old 4L60e on the floor for me to get home from work and finish the swap. Assuming the yoke arrives by the time I get back on Monday, I hope to be at the dyno shop on Thursday for a segment swap and a tune.

Of course I can't leave well enough alone, so I plan on cutting the Magnaflow Ultra-drone muffler out and welding a Dynomax VT in there with some v-band clamps before I head to the dyno. On second thought, expecting shipping delays maybe Friday is more realistic.

I hope to be at the local Saturday meetup in Atascocita pretty soon so if you see a ratty matte-black truck with a scrawny white guy standing next it, come say hi.

 

welcome but im having a hard time following you. you say you broke the 4l80e and now your putting a 4l60e in?

 

My bad, that was obviously a typo. Nobody would replace a 4l80e with a 4l60e. It was a long night at work last night.
