Default Hello everyone

Not really a performance guy, I just need my truck to go. 1998 K-1500 with 150 thousand miles. Last month the cruise control quit and the last two times I drove it when I made a left turn accelerating out of a parking lot the speedometer stopped working and the transmission started slipping. After stopping for a minute it worked fine. I topped up the fluid level but it still did it a second time. I'm slow but handy, I pulled and replaced the transfer case on my 88 Silverado when it went out. I'm not up to doing that any more but I could tackle something simpler.
