does anyone have a link or list with how to's of all the free mods for the trucks? I want to do as much free or cheap mods first before I start dropping $$$$. I need the $$$ for the nova " the race car".

 

clamped overload springs , tb coolant bypass , and thats all i can think of right now . i did those and shaved .1 off my 60 foot time . and the tb might have got me .05 lol but i dont kno it just makes sence to do it

 

Make some holes on the airbox, take off the seals that go from the airbox to the side panel, these 2 will make it sound meaner and feel a lil pep

Go to autozone, there's a clamp kit out on the sales floor for like 9.99, it's for 4-wheel drive guys that add a leaf. Get that, clamp it on the front of the leaf spring, clamping all springs together, pretty simple mod, air tools make it a lot easier, make sure u have a hammer to get the clamp over the spring though

What does the spring mod do? Kinda like cheap trac bars idea? What are some other free mods, i cant find them in the search. I am in the same boat, i save most of my cash for the '78 T/A
